Horse of the Night

KANARIS (9TH) : Stormed into town for his last start and he made it look easy as he scored in wire to wire fashion while stopping the clock in a blistering 1:52.0. That was an eye catching victory and it came against most of this same field. This winner of more than $166,000 has drawn well for this assignment so I would expect him to be headed for the front again this evening. As long as he doesn’t get involved in some type of crazy speed duel he should have no trouble making it two in a row here.

Press Box Parlays

WIN : SEEKIN FOR GLAMOUR (3RD) WITH KANARIS (9TH)
PLACE : DOZER (1ST) WITH REAL HERO (8TH)

Tonight's Long Shots

SUMMER PARTY (10TH)
LADYBONES (12TH)

Keep an Eye On These

DOZER (1ST) : Game win from the second tier in his last start. He steps up a notch but he’s razor sharp right now and with the inside draw he should be good for another against this group.
BLOOMING GENIUS (7TH) : Speedy colt shifts over to Maywood where he should put that blazing gate speed to good use. As long as he gets around that first bend in good shape he could prove very tough to collar.
REAL HERO (8TH) : Old time class horse was under constant pressure while on the lead in his last and he wound up getting nipped in the final strides. Should be in a good spot tonight so let’s give him one more chance here.

Backstretch Info

SEEKIN FOR GLAMOUR (3RD) : Mare is as tough as nails as she proved with a big win from the 8-hole over this kind in her last start. She has shown the ability to get the job done from on or off the pace and with the move inside I would expect to see her forwardly placed throughout the mile tonight. This six-year-old is having a year to remember with nine wins and four seconds in 16 starts. 15 of her 27 career wins have come over the past two seasons and it looks like she’ll be putting another notch in the win column here.
